as the butterfly
hovers near a sunset
its wings touch the sea

YOUR FIRST LOVER: DILIP CHITRE

an early wake-up call
your first lover
touches your shoulder
the rain has stopped
at last
a faint breeze
blows moisture
on your eyes

HORNIMAN CIRCLE GARDEN CIRCA 1964: DILIP CHITRE

discarded lovers
with charred eyes
fall asleep on the green bench

your vision is blurred
but
you don't need any help
